Bey Kok Meng
Bey Kok Meng is currently SingTel’s Mobile Network Quality Director. He is responsible for the technical resolution of Customer Network Quality Problems, Network E2E Audit, Handset and Device Testing. His scope has expanded beyond the mobile quality to fixed broadband and IPTV quality.
He joined SingTel in 1997 as a RF manager responsible for the GSM cell planning, frequency planning and optimisation of the 2G mobile networks. In 2004, he took on the UMTS cell planning and optimisation in addition to the GSM networks with the existing resources. During this period, he has developed a competent RF team operating the Singapore leading mobile networks in term of coverage and quality.
He is also the Chairman of the Regional Network Quality Forum for SingTel Affiliates. This forum is a platform where regional partners share KPIs/KQIs of their Networks, operating experiences and best practises. As chairman of the SingTel Group of operators for such forum, he is able to garner support from these operators (total about 217 millions subscribers) and drive the major infrastructure vendors to improve on their product performance
