Man-Won Jung
On January 1, 2009, Mr. Man-Won Jung became President and Chief Executive Officer of SK Telecom.
He first joined the SK Group in 1994 as Director of the Integrated Network Project at SK Corporation. From 2000-2002, Mr. Jung headed the Wireless Internet Business Division at SK Telecom and played a key role in the successful launch of NATE, a wireless portal service. In addition, he was a driving force behind the expansion of other wireless mobile services, which include MoA (Mobile Ad), MONETA/Nemo (a mobile finance service) and June (a mobile multimedia service). Through these contributions, he was instrumental to the development of SK Telecom’s internet business.
During 2003-2008, Mr. Jung held the position of CEO of SK Networks and the Vice President of SK Corporation.
Mr. Jung graduated from Yonsei University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and holds a Master of Business Administration from New York University. Prior to joining the SK group, he served as Director at the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and also the Ministry of Energy & Resource.
