Mobile Identity

Unlocking the potential that mobile identity can offer the industry and its consumers

The GSMA Mobile Identity programme is a global initiative established to support mobile operators in understanding and unlocking the potential of electronic and mobile identity. This includes being aware of and prepared for the opportunities and challenges of existing and upcoming legislative and regulatory changes.

Through research and engagement with mobile operators, governments, NGOs and the broader mobile ecosystem, the GSMA will build a community to share best practices and create robust, coordinated identity solutions that leverage the ubiquity of mobile technology. The Mobile Identity programme will also make recommendations on the most effective support the industry can provide governments entering the e-ID space.

The programme has formed a working group that is currently open to all mobile operator members interested in mobile identity services. For more information or to join the working group contact us at mobileidentity@gsma.com.
