Operator Decision Tree

Decision Tree
The Operator Decision Tree is a tool to guide operators through the logical decision making process of whether to use green power solutions in their networks. It helps operators make informed decisions regarding the possibilities and issues with using green power and suggests solutions to potential barriers.

The tool is not designed to compute a 'Yes/No' answer; instead it highlights questions that need to be asked and provides content to answer them.

To reveal detailed questions and applicable content, step through the decision tree and click on the questions as appropriate.

As explained in the technology point of view section the scope of the decision tree is currently focused on solar and wind solutions, and will be expanded in the future to include other green power solutions such as Pico-hydro, biodiesel and fuel cells.

What is economically favourable: green power or diesel? What is economically favourable: green power or diesel or grid? Can grid outages be handled by modifying or installing batteries? Can I use diesel to power the site? Can I use green power at the site?
