HD Voice

HD Voice (or High-Definition Voice), provides a significant upgrade to the sound quality of communications. Making use of wideband technology and further acoustical enhancements on phones, users experience deeper clarity, intelligently reduced background noise and a feeling that the person they are talking to is right next to them.

Listen to this sound file and experience for yourself how HD Voice can improve the quality of voice calls.

HD Voice enables operators and terminal manufacturers to clearly differentiate their service and products, by offering with high quality voice calls on mobile and fixed terminal networks.

It is far better for the industry to support one HD Voice logo, that can become a universally recognised symbol which easily identifies HD Voice enabled services and devices, across both mobile and fixed networks. These include:

  • Mobile networks and/or terminals with GSM/UMTS/LTE
  • Mobile networks and/or terminals with CDMA2000
  • Fix terminals with support of CAT-iq.
  • Companies that provide complementing services, e.g. testing

Please review the Minimum Requirements document, that is relevant to your organisation, to easily identify networks and terminals that are eligible to use the logo.
