Legacy Voice/SMS/MMS Use Case
Access PathFinder to identify the destination and correct for number portability.
Originators and/or carriers use PathFinder Number Portability Discovery to obtain the destination identity associated with the dialed number. This enables the hub to save money on bespoke solutions or sub-optimal solutions relating to number portability in that country. IMS Interconnect Use Case
Originators and/or carriers access the destination ENUM registry to obtain a routing address associated with the dialed number. Example services may be RCS or VoLTE on the MNO side. Internationally inter-operable scalable standardised approach. NGN interconnect and all IP path achieved for the subscriber.

TDM-IP break in/out Use Case
A TDM subscriber dials an NGN subscriber or an NGN subscriber dials a TDM subscriber. By querying Carrier ENUM it is possible to identify the technology type of the destination subscriber and convert format at the appropriate point in the delivery path. It is important to convert only once and only where necessary to avoid expense and introduce quality problems into the call. Internationally inter-operable scalable standardised approach.
