Interoperability is a critical requirement of our industry. In the same way that NGN switching infrastructure needs to be mutually compatible for interconnect, NGN infrastructure and ENUM registries must also be fully interoperable.
That’s why GSMA are promoting ENUM interoperability through The GSMA PathFinder Partner Programme. It aims to certify ENUM implementations against a standard reference interface (PathFinder), offering solution providers the opportunity to test their solution against a global ENUM root directory (PathFinder) and receive a certification mark demonstrating interoperability.
The Partner Programme is applicable to both network equipment suppliers and back office system suppliers. Network system suppliers can perform a standard set of ENUM query tests to obtain certification. Back office system suppliers can demonstrate their ability to provision PathFinder to obtain certification.

Simple & Easy Testing:
Step 1: Kick Off
– a simple and quick initial call to present the programme
Step 2: Connectivity
– the vendor test product line is connected to the PathFinder test environment. Our comprehensive guidelines ensure this is a straightforward process, taking less than a day
Step 3a: Query Test
– a standard test suite is executed to exercise key ENUM functionality (this usually only takes a single day)
Step 3b: Provisioning Test
– a standard test suite is executed to exercise key provisioning functionality
After demonstrating interoperability, the solution supplier may use the GSMA PathFinder Certified Partner mark.
